Enjoy the ancient custom of body decoration without painful needles or long-term commitment. Mehndi is the ancient art of decorating the body by staining your skin with a paste made from the henna plant. Applying the henna is completely painless as it is placed on top of your skin using a stick or a small bag like the ones used to decorate cakes. The paste stains your skin with a deep rust, pomegranate or brown color (unless a color-enhanced henna is used). I only use 100% natural henna with safe, natural ingredients for mixing the paste. The color of the design will vary with your skin tone and the particular batch of henna used for the paste. The “temporary tattoo” can last from 3 days to a few weeks depending on how long you leave the paste on your skin and how frequently you wash the area. If you’ve ever had a mud mask, you’ve experienced the feel of henna paste on your skin already. Allow yourself to be adorned.....
About Megha’s Mehndi:
I have studied the art of Mehndi for 8 years and was trained to apply “Bridal Henna” (these are the very intricate designs that are traditional to India, Morocco and the Middle-East) by an Indian mehndi artist in Bombay.
I use all natural ingredients and prefer to make my own henna paste using the recipe I learned in India for a dark, long lasting stain.
If left to my discretion, I will create traditional looking designs, but I am happy to accommodate any reasonable special requests.
I am available to work at parties, craft shows, festivals, at salons, or by private appointment. I am also available for private Mehndi application lessons.
